Fontaine Velocity gives you more for your money. The best steel trailer on the road.
Built on a solid foundation
Built tough, the Velocity flatbed and drop deck trailers feature 4″ I-beams on 12″ centers, one piece welded knee braces, and legendary Fontaine XtremeBeam™ mainbeams. Constructed with continuous welds on both sides of the upper and lower flange using Grade 130K load bearing material, the design is so strong that we back the mainbeams with the Fontaine Trailer XtremeBeam™ Limited Lifetime Warranty*.
Stronger by design
The upper coupler is subjected to a tremendous amount of stress. It’s the connecting point between the tractor and the trailer. That’s why we weld steel reinforcement above the kingpin and at the mainbeams. This robust design provides for added strength to give our customer greater durability.
Protected
Individual air and electrical lines run down the center of both flatbed and drop deck trailers for easy identification, quicker repairs and protection from tire spray and road debris. Wires pass through rubber grommets to protect the cover at friction points.
Stronger front skirt
The trailer steel front skirt features tapered steel corners for greater durability. A steel reinforced upper coupler plate minimizes distortion and makes coupling easier.
Endurance
Full length 1 1/8″ apitong trailer flooring withstands harsh weather and punishing applications. The robust floor is supported by the Fontaine XtremeBeam and steel I-Beam crossmembers on 12″ centers to handle heavy-duty loading and unloading.
Perfect balance
Changing axle positions on slider models is fast and easy to give you the ultimate in flexibility and convenience. You can balance your load for better performance while meeting the demands of USA and Canadian regulations.
Get greater hauling versatility
The VelocityTX model is equipped with Twist Locks that can be set up to engage typical cargo containers or frac sand containers. So you can haul containers or conventional drop deck loads with the same trailer.
Superior Twist Lock design
Our competitors put their drop deck trailer twist locks flush with the outside of the rail (right). We offset ours behind the siderail so that they are protected from forklifts and other impacts (left).
Details make the difference
With Fontaine, the details matter. That’s why we take great care coating every part of Infinity flat and drop trailers with top-of-the-line primer and paint to stand up to the harshest conditions on the road. Our paint process with the wet-on-wet urethane topcoat gives you the best corrosion protection in the industry.
